Puttgarden Ferry Port – waiting for the ferry
Probably quite many travelers to Scandinavia are familiar with this view – at least when traveling by car from Germany: the queue at the ferry port in Puttgarden.

Fitting for Valentine’s Day: a cobblestone heart
If you have ever been to Berlin, you are probably familiar with this view: a rather typical photo of a cobblestone street somewhere in Berlin Mitte. This pattern may look beautiful – but riding your bicycle on this kind of street can be difficult, especially when the streets are wet. Also, cars drivin on cobblestone streets are slightly more noisy – but at least everybody seems to drive a bit mre careful, since the nobody wants to ruin their bumpers.
A photo of more or less typical Berlin cobblestone pavement. In this image you see a rather boring piece of Berlin pavement – usually the pattern of the stones is a bit more inspiring. But maybe this boringness makes this picture special. And what I additionally like about this picture: due to rainy weather the space between the stones is growing moss.
I just opened another category (originally for the stock images section of Bilderbook): backgrounds. There you’ll find images that are suitable as a background image or background pattern – for websites, but also for print products.
This one almost looks like a flag, although it basically just shows, what in Berlin you would see everywhere: a wall – and some cobble sone pavement. Although – i have to admit that i was amazed how clean this wall looks like. Usually Berlin Walls are covered with Streetart – Graffiti and Tags – this one was probably just painted. So you could for example use this image as a canvas – to add your very own message on the wall – your very own virtual Graffiti.

Sitting in a friend’s courtyard somewhere in the middle of nowhere – basically right in the center of Berlin Mitte. We were have a very small birthday party with Grill and Beer – Berlin style. Nice.
I took this photo on a trip to the country side in the North of Germany, visiting my parents. At my parents’ place there is this rather old and rather small size but yet very functional astronomical telescope. Since it was the weekend before the Super Moon / full moon of November 14th, we decided to take a closer look at the moon. Impressive it was. I then also managed to take a few snapshots with my iPhone. So the quality of the full moon photos may not be very good, but still – I like them a lot.

Over the weekend I visited my hometown to celebrate a school’s-out anniversary. The venue was located at a farm – and in one of the old farm buildings there was a football themed altar type of decoration. In the art world you would call such a hanging probabla Petersburg Hanging or a salon Style Hanging. Here it’s basically ‘just’ a wall decoration at a party location somewhere in the middle of nowhere – a.k.a. Wendand: a Wales flag, Werder Bremen and Flensburg tricot, batches, signs, posters, stickers, things, etc.
Berlin weather got quite nice in the last couple of days: blue skies, only very few clouds.
This red construction crane is currently situated in Oderberger STrasse in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. If you look closer, you may see a plane passing by…
Another random still life: Apples and grapes in a wooden box. The lighting conditions are far from ideal, but I still like the photo for its colours and fruitiness. And the darkness somehow also suits the picture. I think.
