Danish Flag, Port of Rødby
On the way back, another short stop – this time in the port of Rødby.

Just like me fellow tourists also want to take photos of The Little Mermaid. And I sometimes like taking pictures of people taking pictures. So it’s a win-win situation – kind of.
It’s not easy to take a photo of The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen. At least when we visited the statue by the sea there were quite many other people trying to take a photo of this iconic landmark. But of course beeing a tourist one should not complain about tourists. Anyways.
Luckily the weather conditions weren’t all too good – so after a while I got my Mermaid Photo – with heavy clouds in the background, but without fellow tourists in the foreground.
Malmö 2013 – just in time for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 I finally reworked the wallpaper section and added a first image for download: the Öresund Bridge in the evening light.
What this has to do with the Eurovision Song Contest? Well – the ETC 2013 takes place in Malmö – and the bridge connects Malmö with Copenhagen – Sweden and Denmark – Scandinavia and Europe. And Eurovision also connects Europe. It’s as simple as that.
View of the Copenhagen skyline shortly after sunrise, seen from the Radisson Collection Royal Hotel. In the foreground the Stadsgraven, part of the city’s historic fortifications. Behind it, the Copenhagen district of Christianshavn with the Freetown Christiania, also part of the historic fortifications. On the right in the picture is the spiral tower of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, Vor Frelsers Kirke, on the left in the picture presumably the church tower of Christiansborg Palace Chapel.
