Hornet in the Garden [Video]

There are hornets in the garden. Big, beautiful hornets. It’s not easy to catch them on film – neither on photo, nor on video – nor to catch them. They are just big and beautiful, doing their thing.

I managed to follow one hornet across its inspection flight. It does not feel very comfortable to be this close to a hornet. I know, they don’t attack, if I don’t provoke ’em, make them angry. But do I know, what a hornet would consider a disturbance? No. So I better keep a certain distance – and so it might be a bit difficult to actually see the hornet in the video. But it’s there. And it’s big. And beautiful.
