We actually went to the woods to look for mushrooms. We heart there were already some, even though usually the mushroom season would only begin in autumn. Anyways – one day there was this mushroom standing in the shadow of a birch tree, in the middle of the small lawn between the cottage and the lake. We didn’t really dare to pick it – so we left it in hope that maybe next year there would be some more to pick.
Blue skies, yellow house, green streetlamp. This streetlamp in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg completely overgrown. Actually in this street near Mauerpark you would find a couple of streetlamps that are more or less overgrown – but this one was the nicest. And the light of the evening sun plays nicely with the yellow facade.
Near the Västra Hamnen area you will not only find nice beaches “Ribersborgsstranden” (Ribersborg Beach) – also a reserved beach area for dogs – but also green. Thousands of square meters of nicely cut grass to sit on, have a picnic, spend time with friends and family. Or just go for a walk and enjoy the view to the baltic sea, the Öresund Bridge and the Malmö skyline – like for example – the Turning Torso.
I just liked a lot how the sunlight looks so nice. Trees casting shadows on the blueberries on the forest floor – everything is just so green. So I took this walk-by shot – some motion captioned in this picture. An action shot – without much action.

The woods in Finland are well known for their blueberries – the forest floor is basically literally covered with blueberries. I took this photo a bit too early for the blueberry high season, so you can’t see any actual berries. But in late summer you should probably take at least a bucket or some big bag with you when you are planning to take a walk in the woods.
