The Telefunken Hochhaus at Ernst-Reuter-Platz in Berlin Charlottenburg. The highrise building has 22 floors and with its 80 meters it once was the highest building of Berlin, until the Europa-Center was built in 1965. The building was built as the headquarters of the company Telefunken. When Telefunken and AEG become one company in 1975, the building was acquired by the city of Berlin.
For the past decades most of the building was used by the Technical University TU Berlin.
A HDR image of sunset at Danziger Strasse in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, near Schliemannstrasse. The rails of the tram line M10 seem to lead right into the light. In the very center of the image, right above the sun, you can see one of the flood light poles of the football stadium next to Mauerpark. Right below the sun you can see parts of the U-Bahn station Eberswalder Strasse.
A HDR image of the French Cathedral at Gendarmenmarkt as seen from its backside on a sunny day.
In German the French Cathedral is called Französischer Dom – the term is German for “French Cathedral”, but in this case (as also in the case of the Berlin Dome and the German Dome) the term refers to the French word for English “dome” and not to a cathedral. Neither church on Gendarmenmarkt was ever the church of a bishop.
In Prenzlauer Berg the “Administrative Office for Citizens” (Bürgeramt / Bezirksamt Pankow Prenzlauer Berg) is located at Fröbelstrasse – a group of old brick buildings, that used to be a hospital. And this red brick chimney used to be part of the hospital too.
The HDR effect is a bit harsh, but – still – i liked the photo somehow. So here it is.
The Taxi Stand at Airport Tegel on a cold, but beautiful day in November, not too long time after sunrise. In the center of the photo you see the tower of Tegel Airtport – to the right of the tower you can see the main terminal building.
The photo is a HDR I took with my iPhone4 waiting for my plane to Bonn.
A view from the highrise in Voltastrasse, housing the Deutsche Welle headquarters. In the center of the photo you can see the almost iconic floodlights of Jahnstadion – the football stadium at Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark next to Mauerpark. On the left side you find the satellite dishes, from where Deutsche Welle is broadcasting 20/7.
The photo was taken in HDR with an iPhone4.
