One of my favourite Helsinki skyline views – to the skyline of Merihaka. The photo was basically shot in the middle of the night – a quarter to midnight to be exact.
A front view of Viking cruiseferry Cinderella arriving at Stockholm. In the background you see the skyline of Stockholm’s city center as seen from the Viking ferry terminal in Stadsgården.
View from Brygga 1 – the bridge to Ribersborgs Kallbadhus, a historical wodden bath house and restaurant a.k.a. Kallis.
Lucky us – we were invied to a New Year’s Eve party with access to a rooftop terrace – or at least a terrace with a view to the rooftops of the surrounding buildings. So we basically saw and enjoyed the neighbors’ fireworks with all the comfort you would expect: a glass of sparkling wine (actually it was Champagne), a few couple of dear friends to chat with – and no fear of getting hit by fireworks. Greatness.
Art on building in Berlin-Mitte: A sculpture stands on a roof and waves or greets passers-by.
Two-story houses, green facades, yellow window, sculpture on the roof – Berlin-Mitte skyline near Ackerstrasse / Invalidenstrasse
A winter panoramic view of the Finnish capital.
A view from the highrise in Voltastrasse, housing the Deutsche Welle headquarters. In the center of the photo you can see the almost iconic floodlights of Jahnstadion – the football stadium at Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark next to Mauerpark. On the left side you find the satellite dishes, from where Deutsche Welle is broadcasting 24/7.
The photo was taken in HDR with an iPhone4.
View of the Berlin skyline from Warschauer Brücke, looking towards Alexanderplatz. When the picture was taken, this view of the Berlin skyline was still reasonably unobstructed – a classic skyline panorama view with the TV tower, East Berlin apartment blocks, a bit of snow and a few trains.
