Rainbow colored park bench, Berlin

Rainbow colored park bench

Somebody painted this park bench in rainbow colors. I am totally loving it. I mean – it’s not just ‘painted’ but actually somebody took the time and effort to either draw little drops, or maybe the paint was just of the right fluidity to draw the drop traces itself. However it was done – now it’s a great art piece.

Seen somewhere near Bernauer Strasse.

Berlin Wedding - Brunnenstrasse Sunset

Sunset / Pink Skies at Brunnenstrasse II

A colorful sunset at Brunnenstrasse in Berlin-Wedding. The building is the 80ies appartment building spanning / bridging over Demminer Strasse.

Reflections on Panke Berlin

Reflections on Panke

The river Panke is probably one of the most under rated Berlin sights – but it has its beauty. In this photo for example the Panke is nicely reflecting the blue skies – and a chimney. I like it.

View from Schwinemünder Bridge

View from Schwinemünder Bridge

A more or less typical Berlin picture: the view from from Schwinemünder Bridge in the Berlin district of Wedding. It’s winter, the rails are partly covered with snow and look a bit unreal. The cloudy sky reflects the yellow-orange streets lights of neighboring district Prenzlauer Berg.

Rainbow in Wedding, Berlin

Rainbow in Wedding

Double rainbow on Saturday afternoon, Brunnenstrasse corner Voltastrasse, Berlin-Wedding.

What a weather or storm: first rain, then squalls, then hail, a downright downpour – then sunshine. In the end, of course, there can only be one rainbow – or rather two rainbows: a double rainbow that spans roughly the southern end of Mauerpark and thus connects Prenzlauer Berg with Wedding – East and West. Super.

Berlin Skyline: Wedding with Clouds

Berlin Skyline: Wedding with Clouds

A view from the highrise in Voltastrasse, housing the Deutsche Welle headquarters. In the center of the photo you can see the almost iconic floodlights of Jahnstadion – the football stadium at Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark next to Mauerpark. On the left side you find the satellite dishes, from where Deutsche Welle is broadcasting 24/7.

The photo was taken in HDR with an iPhone4.
